The reason I took this pic and the reason I am so far away from everyone else is because the group photographer and I were standing on a small hill literally watching a bald eagle fly overhead for about 10 minutes while our group stood together not paying any attention to the wonder of it all...I guess they weren't there for the scenery.

Not the most exciting hike I've been on. No water or great valleys to admire, not many switchbacks or rock formations...just a stroll in the wilderness.

That looks like our front yard.
You should come up and hike at our house. I'll go with you. Mom
I don't understand how people can miss that kind of thing. It just kills me when I see 'em do it, too. Hurts my heart for them because I know that's not the only true beauty they usually miss in their lives. Guess those of us who do see it will just have to keep enjoying it enough for them, too. ;o)
i would love to see a bald eagle in the wild...
I will take a simple stroll in the wilderness over watching TV with a ringing phone in the background any day.
You know something, you and my sister would get on like a house on fire. She goes on hikes all the time. I try and get out of them! xx
The scenery looks amazing!! Darn, I wish I lived closer!!! Thanks for sharing your hike with us. I look forward to seeing photos of many of your future hikes :)
