Spoken Like a True Mom

This morning I hear a crash in the kitchen. I don't think too much about it...the cats are always getting into something. After I heared another I went in to see what was going on. I say to them "where are you little troublemakers?" To which they reply with silence...but a very guilty silence. I can see that they don't have any food and their food box is tipped over and spilling across the floor as usual. I then say to them "haven't I asked you to use your words instead of destroying things?" They look at me with tilted cat heads the way cats do when what they really want to do is roll their eyes at you like your kids do when you say that to them.
